In both Amsterdam and Paris, riding the trams or metro is a great sport for people watching and for easily maneuvering around each city and quickly feeling as a local. I photograph anything and everything with my pocket Canon, low light or otherwise. I find that photos become a great record of my movements each day...A big disappointment in Amsterdam was not being allowed to take photos of paintings in the Rijks and Van Gogh Museums as I've done on previous trips; Paris in the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay I took non-flash photos. Of the many photos taken during this trip, several have or will be added to the Photo Favorites and Photos of People sections. The photo below is a Photo Favorite; use the back arrow to return to Phil's Diary (PD) pages.

Also, in the Photographs section, I have added a category Drinking & Dining in which there are links to photos of my various pubs and eating ventures. Many of these establishments have become favorites.

5.20.10 Over the last months, I have redesigned numerous aspects of the Website and have added art works. In particular, the Photographs section now has nine categories of which I have worked on four. In the Watercolors & Acrylics section, Dominique now offers beautiful Notecards. Meanwhile her artistic efforts are mostly devoted to painting for her booth at the Aspen Saturday Market, which will begin the third Saturday of June and extend into October.
